Grant Due Date: April 13th 2023
Public Housing Authorities (PHAs) can request up to $5 Million of the Housing Hazards Grants to pay contractors to remove hazards in their public housing units such as lead-based paint, carbon monoxide, mold, radon, fire safety, and asbestos. PHAs will then renovate the space affected by the hazard with new walls, flooring, windows, doors, ceiling, stoves, ventilation systems, etc... Also, PHAs can use the grant to relocate the residents for up to 30-days while the unit is being worked on.
