Purpose:  This grant is to fund projects across the Appalachian and Delta regions. This program is designed to provide enhanced training and support activities to dislocated workers, displaced homemakers, new entrants in the workforce, and underemployed workers. Grant programming will include a comprehensive assortment of work readiness assistance such as job training, transportation, childcare, stipends, work clothing, etc.

Grant Award Amount: Up to $1.5 Million

Estimated Grant Period: September 30th, 2020 through September 29th, 2023

Eligible Applicants: State Government, County Government, City or Township Government, Special District Government, Regional Organization, State or Local Workforce Development Board, Independent School District, Public/State Controlled Institution of Higher Education, Indian/Native American Tribal Government (Federally Recognized), Indian/Native American Tribal Government (Other than Federally Recognized), Indian/Native American Tribally Designated Organization, Public/Indian Housing Organization, Nonprofit Organization with IRS 501(c)(3) Status, Nonprofit Organization without IRS 501(c)(3) Status, Private Institution of Higher Education, Hispanic-serving Institution, Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), Tribally Controlled Colleges and Universities (TCCUs)
